A POULTON man mistakenly texted his former partner with a message – sparking a campaign of harassment.

The message, which was meant for the new woman in his life, arrived on the phone owned by Melissa Haworth with who he had a two year relationship, leading her to bombard him with text messages and phone calls and even visits to his home.

Haworth, of Coniston Avenue, Hambleton, admitted harassment when she appeared before Blackpool magistrates.

She was fined £50 but does not have to pay because of time served in custody.

She was also made the subject of a two year restraining order forbidding her from contacting the man.
