Ten new beach huts have been installed on St Annes seafront – extending the total so far to 36.

Stuart and Zoe Robertson, the couple behind St Annes Beach Huts, have planning permission for 45 on the site between the Mini-Links golf course and the beach and are delighted with how much of a hit the huts have proved since the first were installed four years ago.

The latest 10 were delivered - five at a time - on a flat truck which wended its way up from Dorset, where the huts are assembled.

The huts are available for rental by the day and Stuart said: “We are really pleased with the level of bookings – they just get stronger each year.

“We are really optimistic for the season ahead as I think the town has never looked more appealing to visitors.

“This will be our first full summer since opening our new nearby seafront holiday apartments and the additional beach huts now give us a unique and exciting holiday experience we can offer to our apartment guests as well as the many others who enjoy them.

“Many of our guests put a lot of effort into their day; decorating the hut and bringing along amazing picnics.

“For that reason, most people like to book weeks in advance, so they can make a really special day of it.”
