Teenagers can now sign up for a leading summer scheme to help boost their skills.
The National Citizen Service gives 15 to 17-year-olds on the Fylde coast the chance to experience outdoor activities and work in the community over 15 days in the summer.
The first two weeks are residential, incorporating outward bound activities and independent living.
In the final week, the team comes together to run a social action project.
Carly Llewellyn-Ryan, an NCS co-ordinator, said: “The great thing about NCS is the scope for personal development.
“Whether you’d like some more confidence, or just to improve your CV, there’s something for everyone.”
Places are still available for the £40 scheme.
