A Pilling teenager is through to the final of a regional singing competition.
Ellie Danson, 18, has reached the last stage of The Printworks Unsigned, after competing in live auditions for the annual singing and live band competition held at Manchester’s Printworks.
Ellie beat stiff competition from some of the regions best performers, singing a rendition of Alicia Keys’ popular ballad, If I Ain’t Got You, last Saturday.
She will now compete against seven others in the final, which will be held next Saturday.
The winner will be chosen by an expert judging panel which includes celebrity judge Rowetta from Manchester band, Happy Mondays.
Ellie said: “It’s really exciting to make it to the finals.
“I’m meant to be on holiday in Majorca that week, but I’d already told my mum I was going to fly home early if I got through.”
