A TEENAGER appeared in court charged with an alleged armed robbery at a shop.
Russell Hickey, 18, of South Park Drive, Blackpool, is accused of robbing the Cosmos convenience store on Waterloo Road on June 28 and stealing £1,500 of cash and cigarettes. He also faces a second charge of conspiracy to rob.
It relates to the alleged planning of an armed raid on a Ladbrokes shop in Blackpool and plotting to steal £100,000.
Blackpool magistrates remanded Hickey in custody until September 8 when he will go before Preston Crown Court.
Two youths aged 16 and 17 both from Blackpool, but who cannot be named for legal reasons, have also appeared before court charged with the same offences.
