A TEENAGER on his way back from a party hurled a lump of wood which hit a woman and kicked a man on the thigh.
Unemployed Robert Armstrong, 19, of Withnell Road, South Shore, pleaded guilty to assault.
He was sentenced to a four weeks curfew from 9pm to 7am and ordered to pay his victims £75 each by Blackpool magistrates.
Ashley Barnes, prosecuting, said on March 11 at 5.05pm the two victims were walking along Park Road when Armstrong and another man jumped at them, as though to scare them.
When the female victim asked why they had done it, Armstrong threw a block of wood.
Armstrong, who had no previous convictions, initially denied the assaults.
Martin Hillson, defending, said his client had been to a party and put himself at a five to six on a scale of drunkenness up to 10.
