A TEENAGER has been found hanged in a secluded woodland.
Police discovered the body of Jack Whyte in a wooded area known as The Towers off Seniors Drive, Cleveleys, on Monday evening.
The 19-year-old was a former pupil at Fleetwood High School where staff yesterday described him as “larger than life”.
Meanwhile, hundreds of friends and loved-ones have joined a tribute page on social networking website Facebook.
Fleetwood High School headteacher Steve Roe said staff broke down in tears when they were told the devastating news.
He added: “He was a likeable lad, when he was here he was really loved by students and the staff.
“It is really shocking, it has affected a lot of people who have very fond memories of him.
“He enjoyed everything he did which is what makes this so surprising, He especially loved drama and appeared in many plays including A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
Mr Roe said although Jack, who lived on Clarence Avenue, Cleveleys, left the school three years ago he was still remembered fondly by staff.
