A tea party has raised more than £500 for our Hospice Heroes campaign.
Volunteers at the Trinity Hospice shop in Cleveleys took over Ann’s Tea Room in the town for a day, when they sold tea, sandwiches and cake for a pound.
The shop’s manager, Rachel Brown said they were overwhelmed with visitors, and made £535 which is being donated to our Hospice Heroes appeal, supporting Trinity Hospice and Brian House children’s hospice.
Rachel said: “We hold all sorts of fund-raising events, and the Trinity Tea Parties for Hospice Heroes have been a huge success.
“A few of our volunteers have held their own in their homes, and said how well they have gone.
“Ann Wilkinson, who owns Ann’s Tea Room, very kindly closed for the day so she could donate all the takings to Hospice Heroes.”
Our appeal needs to raise £200,000 for a much-needed refurbishment at Trinity and Brian House on Low Moor Road, Bispham, which is currently being carried out.
