Boasting breathtaking views from Blackpool Tower up to the Lake District, staff falling over themselves to help you, and fresh, locally sourced ingredients on the menu - Blackpool and The Fylde College’s new restaurant looks set to be a favourite for fine dining on the Fylde coast.

The aptly named ‘Level 6’ sits on the sixth floor of the college’s Bispham campus, on Ashfield Road, and is the final training place for the college’s Level Six students.

It replaces Courtfield and Ashfield restaurants, having undergone a revamp to feature a fresh design and industry standard kitchen facilities.

It seeks to help to shape the future of food as it works with industry professionals to train the next generation of chefs, sous chefs, hospitality staff, restaurant managers and owners.

But for the rest of the Fylde coast it means another top restaurant on the doorstep.

“The look, the name, the ambience is all centred around inspiring our students to succeed and reach the top.

“We rely on our customers so students can develop their skills and become ready for the world of work.”

The menu reflects current trends with fresh, locally sourced ingredients featuring prominently, including apple and Garstang blue pate, Fleetwood’s finest haddock, and Dewlay’s Lancashire cheese.

And Paul Moss, chef at Twelve restaurant at Marsh Mill and alumni of the college, helped to choose the restaurant’s signature dessert, from creations made by students.

Diners can also visit the restaurant’s neighbouring ‘casino’, as the college’s Gaming Academy, which trains students for a career in the gaming and casino industry, has moved to the sixth floor, allowing opportunities for collaboration between the two venues for corporate events, private parties and charity fundraisers.

Level 6 is open Tuesday-Thursday from 10.30am for morning coffee.

Lunch orders are taken between 10.30am-1.00pm Tuesday-Thursday and dinner orders taken 5.45-7.15pm on Wednesdays.
