GET on your dancing shoes!
The celebrities hoping to reach the prestigious Blackpool final of the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing have been revealed.
Copious amounts of sequins, glitter and fake tan will return to the famous floor of Blackpool Tower Ballroom for this year’s final show on the last Saturday before Christmas.
This year’s line-up includes Olympic boxing champion Audley Harrison, former Australian soapstars Holly Valance and Jason Donovan, One Show presenter Alex Jones and Gazette astrologer Russell Grant.
One Show host Alex said she will not be able to get away from co-host Matt Baker now she is following him on to the dancefloor in Strictly.
She said: “Matt has not shut up since the day I told him I was taking part in Strictly.
“He has a line of advice for absolutely everything from what to eat and who to be partnered with, to hopping on one leg for balance.”
Football hardman turned TV pundit Robbie Savage will also take to the floor.
The former Blackburn Rovers and Leicester City player says he expects a telling off from his mother if he talks back to the judges.
Also taking part are impressionist Rory Bremner, McFly drummer Harry Judd, TV presenter Daniel Lobb, Nancy Dell’Olio, actresses Chelsee Healey and Anita Dobson, Lulu and former MP Edwina Currie.
A spokeswoman for Blackpool Tower said: “We are obviously delighted to be hosting the TV show again and even more delighted they have chosen us for the final.
“It’s such a great programme which showcases our beautiful Ballroom in all its fine glory.”
Tickets for the Blackpool show – which will be screened in 3D for the first time – are available from the BBC at a date yet to be announced.
