SUN seekers from across the North West flocked to Blackpool as temperatures soared over the weekend.
The new Promenade was jam packed as locals and trippers saw temperatures reach a high of 22 degrees.
And it was all smiles on the Golden Mile as people enjoyed the mini-heat wave by the sea.
Jane Freeman, 33, travelled to the coast from Manchester with daughter, Grace, five.
She said: “When the weather is like this there is nothing better than coming to the beach, we have had some lunch and just had a break
“The cafes and shops have been packed out, I hope the weather stays nice for Easter, I think the resort will do really well if it does.”
Gary, 24 and Tom Peters, 28, of South Shore, spent the day in Stanley Park.
Gary said: “There has been a great atmosphere, a bit of nice weather seems to cheer everyone up, which is nice.”
