Spotlight on role of health visitors

Blackpool South MP Gordon visited South Shore Primary Care Centre to help promote National Health Visiting Week, highlighting the work health visitors, nursery nurses, staff nurses and support staff do in the community for pre-school children and their families.

Mr Marsden met with health visitors Dani Bradley and Vikki Priest, as well as team leader Mary Cornall. Also present were Nicola Parry, head of midwifery in Blackpool, nursery nurse Shelley Dawbney and Simon Cartmell.

Their work includes not only help and support, but also developmental checks as well as safeguarding and child protection.
