Blackpool pub, the Dog & Partridge, has officially reopened following a £150,000 investment.

The Lytham Road pub, which has been transformed into a John Barras community local, is owned by Spirit Pub Company.

They have invested in the interior and exterior look and feel of the pub; updating the décor and bringing in new fitted furniture and a refurbished bar.

There are also five new dart boards which include cameras allowing the whole pub to view the dart games on the various screens throughout the pub.

These came in handy on the opening night as Andy Hornby, captain of the pub’s darts team, joined general manager of the Dog & Partridge, Andrew Howard, in launching the latest darts tournament at the pub.

Andrew said: “I’m thrilled with the new look of our pub.

“I really want to make the pub the hub of the local community by offering the best place to enjoy sports! Not only do we have a great new dart boards but we also have a new snooker table and we’ll be launching snooker tournaments over the coming weeks.”

John Barras pubs aim to be a home from home where communities can gather to have fun through a range of experiences including quality food, drink, sport and entertainment.

John Barras is a brand from Spirit Pub Company which owns and operates 791 managed pubs across the UK.
