The famous Thwaites brewery dray horses led the parade as villagers gathered to enjoy the Normoss and Staining Gala.
Ten visiting carnival queens were in attendance and after the procession, people enjoyed visiting more than 20 different stalls set up on the gala field at Staining Village Hall.
Emma Dawson, the secretary of the Normoss and Staining Gala Association, said: “Last year we had torrential rain.
“But this year the weather was fabulous.
“Everyone had a fantastic day and there were lots of people along the route to support the procession.
“It made all the hard work worthwhile.”
