THIS schoolboy’s career is headed straight for the skies after he landed a role in new CBeebies series Cloudbabies.
Bobby McDonald, seven, from Marton has secured the voice role of Baba Green in the animated series which hit the screen earlier this month.
The youngster, who is a pupil at Stanley Primary School, beat off competition from thousands of other children to grab one of the main roles.
Bobby has been attending Scream Theatre school in Layton since September and staff are very proud of his efforts.
Jessica Bell, from Scream said: “We are extremely proud of Bobby for getting this role.
“He is a popular pupil and works extremely hard at the school to earned his success .
“He’s done an amazing job and I know producers have said they’re very pleased with him. He is a credit to Scream ”
Cloudbabies follows four characters, Baba Pink, Baba Blue, Baba Yellow and Baba Green who work to protect the sky.
They live with their Sky friends – Sun, Moon, Rainbow, Fuffa Cloud and Little Star in a big house on a big fluffy cloud.
Bobby’s dad, Andy Mcdonald, 31 from Cherry Tree Road said: “We are very, very proud of Bobby and extremely happy for him.
“He was overjoyed and extremely excited to have won the part and film the show.
“He’s completed about 30 episodes of Cloudbabies so far and the production company plan to make about 50 episodes.”
