Revellers enjoyed pints of refreshing real ale during a beer festival to raise funds for a children’s charity.
Funds from the three day Weeton festival, at The Croft, on Church Road, will also go towards revamping the town hall. Coun John Matthews, vice chairman of Weeton Parish Council, said: “The numbers were better than expected from opening at noon to midnight and it was a good atmosphere.
“There was a lot of serious drinkers drinking half a pint at a time to try every one.”
Money raised during the festival will be donated to OJ’s Care, a charity which provides activities for children with learning difficulties and autism.
