THIS is the bold new vision for the entrance to a popular Blackpool park.
The new sculptures located at the main opening to Kingscote Park in Layton off Rathlyn Avenue will be carved by a local wood artist and depict the park’s name.
Layton ward councillors Roy Haskett and Sue Ridyard are using part of their ward budget to help towards the cost.
Coun Haskett said: “This new feature is part of a bigger programme of improvements to the park and will provide a welcoming entrance to visitors.
“We aim to make the entrance attractive, well maintained and safe with the investment making the park more user friendly and helping to deter vandalism.”
It is the latest in a raft of improvements at the park.
