CHILDREN are running out of time to send in their entry forms for a unique art competition.
The 30th Beaverbrooks Blackpool 10k Fun Run is enlisting Fylde coast children to design a T-shirt to raise money for the NSPCC.
Winning designs will be picked by readers of The Gazette and those T-Shirts will be sold in Matalan and Beaverbrooks stores.
Children from Christ the King Primary School on Bathurst Avenue, Grange Park, have already been taking part in the artistic fun.
Pupil Blaine Cherry, seven, said: “I do a lot of running and would make my T-shirt orange for Blackpool.
Classmate Abigail Lund, eight, added: “I enjoy running in the playground and think this competition is a good idea.”
Money raised from this year’s Fun Run will go towards the building of a new NSPCC Blackpool Service Centre.
Year Three teacher Sarah Hall, added: “This competition promotes exercise and lets children know it should be fun. Everyone has something to offer, whether that be designing a T-Shirt or running a race.”
