NEW pupil leaders are wearing the robes of office at this Preesall school.

Saint Aidan’s Technology College has now appointed its new school officers for the next year.

George Burrows has been named head boy and he will be joined by Grace Johnston as head girl.

The pair will be supported by Jake Jones as deputy head boy and deputy head girl Jenni Entwisle.

All four students are now looking forward to becoming ambassadors for the Cartgate school.

New head boy George said: “I have a lot of pride in my school and wanted to be able to represent them in the wider community.

“I think sometimes there can be a barrier that prevents some students from conversing with staff.

“I would like to be able to help break this down and promote great student and staff relationships.”

Grace, head girl said: “I thought being head girl was the perfect opportunity to give something back to the school and help my peers.

“I am looking forward to the challenge and hope it will give me skills for life.”
