A road has been closed in Blackpool town centre as Storm Doris batters the coast.
Police and fire services from South Shore station have closed off Coronation Street after high winds blew tiles from the roof of the Co-operative food shop onto the road.
A fire service spokesman said: “We were called at around 10.15am to the Co-op. We were told that the strong winds were blowing roof tiles into the street.
“Firefighters confirmed that a number of roof tiles have fallen onto the road, and a number are still loose and could fall at any moment.”
People were advised to avoid the area while police and firefighers remained at the scene.
The road has now been reopened.
