THESE high powered cars and motorbike pictured on the seafront at Cleveleys mark the launch of an exciting new family event next week.

The Cleveleys Classic Vehicle Show will see Victoria Road West closed off to traffic for the day on Sunday with a variety of vehicles on display along its length, and others displayed along the Promenade.

The show will include more than 100 classic cars, sports vehicles, American hot rods, buses, trucks and commercial vehicles, modern classics, kit cars, motorbikes and specialist vehicles.

Alongside the display, there will be entertainment on the Plaza with performances from a number of local bands and artists and an air display of radio controlled aircraft over the beach, weather permitting.

Organiser Rev Michael Payne said: “The show aims to draw people to the town for the day to see what Cleveleys has to offer, including the impressive and modern seafront Promenade, while enjoying a great day out among the displays and entertainment.”

Fylde coast dealership Chris Allen Garages, with showrooms in Fleetwood and Poulton, will be exhibiting the latest Mazda and Ford models.

The event is being managed by the Thornton Cleveleys Association of Trade and Commerce assisted by UKwheelsevents and the Lancashire Vehicle Club.
