A revamped charity shop is set to be opened on the Fylde coast, complete with a glittering showbiz opening party.
Singer Peter Anthony will be performing as The Swallows charity shop shows off its extra facilities on The Crescent, in St Annes, on Monday, from 12.30pm.
The shop, which raises money to support patients with head or neck cancer, now has a new library section and small furniture area, in a bid to bring in more funds.
The charity’s CEO, Chris Curtis, said: “The Swallows was formed by cancer patients to help and support fellow sufferers and their carers.
“We reach out and offer fantastic support 24/7. Our charity is run by patients, carers, family and friends, so everyone understands the problems when you are diagnosed with cancer.”
The shop is now run by Anne Nyland, who has worked in Fylde coast charity shops for 15 years, and is open from 9am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday.
The shop is now looking for donations of small furniture, bric-a-brac, toys or clothes.
