Resort road closed as firefighters tackle blaze
Victory Road in North Shore was closed while firefighters tackled a chimney road at a house in the street earlier this morning.
Two fire engines and an aerial ladder platform were called to battle the flames at around 9.39am, a spokesman for the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said.
There were no reports of any injuries, and the fire did not spread to any neighbouring properties, he added.
