A revamped Blackpool bar is set to create 25 new jobs as it opens its doors on the Promenade.
The old Flares site, which closed down on March 21, has been revamped and rebranded as Popworld.
It had its official opening with a VIP party last week and is now open throughout the week, playing favourite party and chart tunes from the 1990s.
The transformation of Flares has cost owners the Stonegate Pub Company around £150,000 and will see the introduction of new waitress service and VIP booths within modern surroundings.
It comes following revamps of the Dutton Arms and Yates in Blackpool – also owned by Stonegate.
Bosses say “innovative cocktails” are now a major part of the menu at the bar and can be served in a glass, a top hat or even a disco ball.
General manager of the new bar, Dominic Heardman, said: “It’s a privilege to be launching Popworld in Blackpool.
“I’ve been working in the town for a long time and I really think Popworld is what the late night scene needs.
“Popworld offers its customers a fun night out within a safe environment, where our customers can enjoy something a bit different.
“We’ve got 25 new members of staff and together we planned some exciting events over the course of the launch weekend.
“We’ll be keeping our offer up to date and fresh with a range of themed nights happening throughout the week.”
Blackpool is the latest in the portfolio of Popworld bars.
They also currently operate in Liverpool, Birmingham, Preston, Sheffield, Southampton, Swansea, Portsmouth, Wolverhampton, Guildford, Newcastle, York, Aldershot and Bristol.
