One of the two Yates bars has closed its doors to allow the significant makeover, scheduled to be unveiled tonight and at a VIP opening on Thursday.

The Market Street venue, which opened in the former Cahoots site following the fire at the Talbot Square Yates in 2009, will be renovated from “head to toe” with a new-look bar area and dancefloor.

At weekends, the bar will transform into a “late night party experience”. Kicking off on Friday nights will be a new night for Blackpool – Vanity. On Saturdays, there will be a Floor Fillers night from 8pm while on Thursdays there will be Bloc Party in conjunction with Popworld.

David Robertson, general manager of Yates Blackpool, said: “We can’t wait for the work to be complete so we can unveil our new look to our loyal customers on our VIP night April 13.

“The investment into our venue will make for a fantastic 2017, and we’re sure the brand-new look will be a big hit and continue to draw in new and existing customers.”
