Residents' joy at visit from Archbishop
There has been a Church of England Pensions Board scheme at Fosbrooke House for more than 60 years.
In 2004, the accommodation was rebuilt to meet the needs of older people who want to remain independent with the benefit of supportive staff and a caring community.

Paul Smith, manager at Fosbrooke House, said afterwards : “We were all very excited to meet the Archbishop and grateful for him taking time out of his busy schedule to visit our marvellous community here at Fosbrooke House.”
The Archbishop said: “It is always a great pleasure to spend time with those who have given so much in the service of God and His church.
“It was wonderful to exchange stories of all that we have seen God doing in our lives and ministries.
“It was good to meet residents and also spend time with the staff whose wonderful work supports people to live independent lives.”
