Blackpool beauty Victoria Holmden talks to Emma Harris about her hopes to become a Star in a Bra.
The busty single mum has made it through to the final of this year’s Star in a Bra model competition.
The 31-year-old, who lives near Stanley Park, has scooped a place in the top 10 to become the face and body of award-winning lingerie company Curvy Kate.
The top 10 girls, as voted for by the public, were recently treated to a makeover and professional photo shoot in London. The Star in a Bra search is run through the brand’s Facebook page and encourages D plus, charismatic and naturally curvy girls to submit their favourite lingerie shots to win an international modelling contract.
The company believes many bra brands still lack in choosing models their customers can relate to.
Voluptuous Victoria – curvy size 12/14 and a GG cup – says she is ready to flaunt her all-natural curves and is hoping to spread feel-good positivity.
She said: “Throughout my life, magazines, catwalks and catalogues have been dominated by skinny girls with small boobs and no curves.
“I often found it hard to even get a bra that would fit me.
“I’m so happy to get through to the final 10, and would like to thank everyone for their support so far. I was whisked off to London for a professional makeover and photoshoot, which was amazing.
“I intend to represent Blackpool and be part of something to promote real, natural women – you can flaunt your curves and feel great whatever your size.”
Hannah Houston, Curvy Kate marketing manager, said: “We truly believe our customers should model our lingerie as these are the girls who will be buying it.
“Our model search isn’t just a one-off.
“It’s here to stay to prove how gorgeous the shapely figure looks in lingerie – wobbles, bumps and all.”
