This bevvy of beauties have become calendar girls for a good cause.
And they struck most their poses, for the vintage pin-up fund-raising calendar, on the Fylde coast.
The project, in aid of The Royal British Legion, was the brainchild of Shropshire-based Nikki Prince, of Royal Touch Photography – who felt it would be a good way to use her skills for a good cause in the First World War centenary year.
The first three months of the 2015 calendar were shot in Shropshire, with the rest of the photo-shoots taking place on the seafront at St Annes – on the beach and with the beach huts, Lytham Green and next to the Lytham Spitfire.
After putting a request on Facebook for models, Nikki picked 17 women from more than 165 applicants. Most of the models have military connections, including whose husbands are in the RAF.
There will be a black tie ball in September, at Albrighton Hall, in Shrewsbury, to officially launch the calendars will be available to buy before then at selected events nationwide – including four events around the Fylde coast.
Nikki, who is taking the photographs for the calendar, said: “We chose Lytham and St Annes because they are really beautiful backdrops and the spitfire in Lytham fitted in well with the theme.
“It was a busy couple of days at the shoots, but we were made to feel so welcome and we got some great photos.
“In the run-up to the launch of the calendar later this year, we will be organising several fund-raising events along the way to help reach the target the ladies have set themselves of raising £5,000 for the charity.
