A renowned television and newspaper psychic who helped people all over the country has died following a short battle with cancer.

Paula Paradaema lived and worked in Blackpool for 40 years but made a name for herself during guest appearances on This Morning with Richard and Judy and with New Year’s predictions in the Daily Mirror.

The grandmother-of-four, from Romney Avenue, South Shore, was born into a family of travellers in 1943 where she learned to perfect her skill.

Mrs Paradaema, who is survived by her four children Vincent, 45, Angela, 43, Joanna, 41, and Katey, 37, was known throughout the town for her numerous evenings of clairvoyance.

From 1989 to 1997 she ran the Psychic Centre opposite The Metropole Hotel and later starred in shows at The Royal in Cleveleys and Mamma Coe’s on Blackpool Prom.
