Hundreds of Blackpool fans marched to Bloomfield Road ahead of the club’s only pre-season match in protest against chairman Karl Oyston.
The fans, who met at The Saddle Inn, Blackpool, marched on Blackpool FC ahead of the Seasiders’ friendly with Burnley on Saturday, calling for Mr Oyston’s exit from the club.
They say the chairman has failed to invest in the club, which until last week had only eight players in its squad.
Protestor Rob Underdown said: “For several years Karl has failed to invest in the club, and two weeks ago we were the laughing stock of football.
“Now we know other teams are behind us – even the Burnley fans have told us they will not be spending a penny once they are inside the ground.”
The protest, which was expected to last into the first half of the match, was peaceful, with occasional chants and car horns sounded in support.
