DESIGN engineer Paul Jones and practice nurse Michelle Robinson are now engaged to be married.
But how did Paul pop the question? In front of their new four-bedroom house, that’s how!
Paul proposed on completion of the sale of their home, by having housebuilder Barratt print a ‘Will you marry me?’ banner on the front of the house in Beech Drive, on the Hawley Gardens development in Thornton.
Sales advisor Janette Kirk, who was in on the big secret, said: “We were so pleased to be able to help Paul propose to the lovely Michelle.
“They had already bought their dream home, so this was really the icing on the cake. We wish them every happiness in their lives together.
“Although we’ll definitely stay in touch, they’ve now bought two homes from us, part exchanging their last one for their brand new Tetbury at Hawley Gardens, so who knows what the future might bring?”
Janette added: “Every customer can move up or on to the property ladder with our various shared equity and part exchange schemes, no matter what their circumstance or budget.”
Paul and Michelle were “extremely happy” to be able to purchase their dream home, by taking advantage of Barratt’s part-exchange scheme.
They moved from their last Barratt property to Hawley Gardens, and the opportunity seemed to be the perfect opportunity to “pop the question”.
Hawley Gardens features a selection of homes ideal for first-time buyers, families and anyone with an eye for a beautiful property.
