A prolific shoplifter has been banned by magistrates from four town stores he targeted.
Stuart Bertram can no longer go into Argos, Co-op, Poundland or Iceland.
He admitted five offences of shoplifting from the stores taking items such as books, chocolates and dolls.
Bertram of Cookson Street, Blackpool, received a 14-week jail term suspended for a year and placed on a year’s supervision at the town’s magistrates court.
He also admitted breaching a conditional discharge and bail. The articles were stolen to buy alcohol. Peter Cave, defending, said: “He is now seeking help for his drink problem.”
