STUDENTS have raised hundreds of pounds for sick children.
Five Blackpool and The Fylde College students received donations from business and raised more than £300 for Brian House Children’s Hospice, Bispham.
Prizes donated to the group included a Blackpool FC signed shirt, a membership to Blackpool Zoo and two tickets to see Brit winner Ed Sheeran at the Winter Gardens.
Michelle Shuttleworth, from Brough Avenue, Bispham, organised the fundraiser.
She told The Gazette: “All of the prizes helped us with our event on the day. We held the raffle at the Blackpool and The Fylde College along with a guess the rabbit’s name competition with the winner winning a soft toy rabbit and an Easter Egg.
“The event went really well and we are pleased to have raised £306.45 for Brian House.”
Lisa Martin, (left), head of the fundraising team at Brian House, said: “Everyone here at Brian House is very grateful to Michelle and her friends who have fundraised for Brian House during their college course.
“£306 is a fantastic amount and it’s very much appreciated!
“Thank you again and good luck with your remaining college course.”
