Visitors to Blackpool’s Opera House can get a sneak preview of the new series of comedian Peter Kay’s hit comedy Car Share.
The second series of the BAFTA award-winning show will receive its premier at the famous venue.
After being forced to commute together in a supermarket Car Share scheme, assistant manager John Redmond (Peter Kay) and promotions assistant Kayleigh Kitson find themselves now reluctantly having to make their daily commute to work, separately, in the new series.
The event will be a fund-raiser for The Gordon Thorpe appeal.
Gordon’s family from Wigan launched the appeal to help fund potentially life-changing treatment for their husband and father diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year.
Gordon was told by doctors in this country that they were unable to operate but family have been given hope after discovering researching immune therapy treatment in Germany, which costs £50,000.
