A popular pub nominated to become a listed building is to undergo a £170,000 revamp.
Six new jobs will be created at The Dunes Hotel, on Lytham Road, as its interior is re-fitted and decorated.
The pub will close on Monday for a fortnight for work to be carried out, reopening on Friday, October 24.
The pub, which is owned by Spirit Pub Company, will undergo a complete make-over to introduce a “brighter, fresher feel” for regulars.
General manager, Duncan Wood said: “We’re hugely excited to be undergoing such a huge transformation.
“The Dunes Hotel is a popular spot with locals for food and drink, so we’re pleased to be able to offer even better surroundings and a great new menu to our loyal and new guests alike.”
And extra staff are being recruited to go with the pub’s new look
Mr Wood said: “I am on the look out for hard-working inpeople to work in the bar and the kitchen.”
There will be no structural changes to the pub, which was shortlisted this year by Blackpool Council to become a listed building.
However, inside the well-known local landmark will be modernised, with new furniture and decoration.
