POLICE are appealing for information after a teenage girl was seriously assaulted at a house in Blackpool.

The 16-year-old was involved in a row at a house party on Montrose Avenue some time between 1am and 3am on Saturday March 19.

She was then attacked by a number of other girls and boys who began aiming punches and kicks at her, as well as spitting on her. The girl managed to escape the house but was chased along Central Drive.

She managed to break free and seek help from a man who was passing in a white van who took her home.

She was treated for cuts and bruising at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

PC James Ellis, of Blackpool Police, said: “This was a nasty and sustained assault on a defenceless young girl.

“I’m keen to speak with two people who were walking a boxer type dog in the Central Drive Grasmere Road area around the time of the assault, as well as the man in the small white van who very kindly offered this girl help when she needed it.”
