A large crowd were involved in a fight in Blackpool town centre after “peacemakers” stepped in to break up an argument.
Police say up to eight revellers were involved in the brawl, on the corner of Dickson Road and Talbot Road at around 4am on Sunday, which saw one man knocked unconscious.
The 28-year-old was yesterday recovering in hospital after being knocked out and suffering cuts and bruises.
Another man suffered minor head injuries.
Det Sgt Mark Dickinson, of Blackpool CID, said: “This was a reasonably large scale fight. It seems to have started with an altercation between a couple and it seems several passersby have stepped in and it’s turned into a brawl.
“We would urge anyone who saw what happened to come forward and call police on 101.
