Police say nobody was seriously hurt in the crash, which happened close to North Shore Golf Club at around 1.10pm, though the driver of the Ford was complaining of knee pain and was treated by paramedics.
Nobody in the Clio, a learner driver car, is understood to have been hurt. The road was left blocked for a while, but police logs showed no mention of a closure, a spokeswoman for the force said.
