A white Ford Fiesta and black Renault Clio were involved in a collision on Devonshire Road earlier – the fourth crash there in just two weeks.
Police say nobody was seriously hurt in the crash, which happened close to North Shore Golf Club at around 1.10pm, though the driver of the Ford was complaining of knee pain and was treated by paramedics.
Nobody in the Clio, a learner driver car, is understood to have been hurt. The road was left blocked for a while, but police logs showed no mention of a closure, a spokeswoman for the force said.
Devonshire Road was closed between the Devonshire Arms pub and Mansfield Road last Wednesday after a Nissan Micra and Ford Fiesta collided.
Crashes were also reported on the road, albeit it closer to Bispham, on both Saturday and Sunday, October 8 and 9, with one teen flown to hospital with serious injuries.
