Police are appealing for information after a break-in at Blackpool Central Mosque.
Officers have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a burglary and religiously aggravated criminal damage at the Revoe Street-mosque. The incident happened around 11pm on September 12, but police have only released the information today.
It is believed a group of four or five men have entered the grounds of the Mosque through a gate. One of the men is thought to have broken into the building through a wooden side door.
The man is then alleged to have walked through a number of rooms inside the Mosque and is believed to have urinated in the reception area before leaving the building undetected.
The man is described as a white male with ginger or light brown hair, shorter on the sides than on the top and is thought to be 19 to 22-years-old. He was wearing a long sleeved white top, black trousers and Nike trainers.
PC Paul Michael of Blackpool Police said: “We are keen to speak to the man pictured in connection with our inquiries and I would urge anyone with information that could help us with our investigations to contact police on 101 quoting AM1410823.”
