Plans to build a caravan park and camping site in Nateby have been submitted to Wyre Council.
The plans, put forward by Avalon Town Planning Ltd, propose the creation of a touring caravan park and camping site at Poplar Grove Farm on Humblescough Lane, Nateby.
If approved, the site would be turned into a leisure and holiday park and have 19 touring caravan pitches, 13 fishing micro lodges (to make use of the three ponds which are already on the site), toilet block and washing area, games room and booking office.
The proposal, due for decision by February, follows the controversial application by Chippendale Ltd earlier this year to build 329 homes and a business and leisure development off the A6 at Nateby. This has provoked a backlash, with hundreds of objections sent to the council by concerned residents. This application is still pending consideration.
