A FORMER star of Blackpool’s North Pier is among the contestants heading to the jungle for the new series of I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
Crissy Rock, 53, of TV sitcom Benidorm, recently completed a summer season in the Merrie England and has also made several charity appearances at Nellie Deans in the resort.
Madcap comic Freddie Starr, 69, who has played many of Blackpool’s venues and appeared at Fleetwood’s Marine Hall in September, is also among the line-up set to make its home in the Australian bush.
Freddie, who had a heart attack and underwent bypass surgery in April last year, said: “I’m so out of shape it’s unbelievable, but I’ll try to lift trees and things like that while I’m in the jungle.”
The rest of the line-up is Stefanie Powers, 69, Emmerdale star Lorraine Chase, 60, former jockey Willie Carson, 68, Coronation Street actor Antony Cotton, 36, The Only Way Is Essex star Mark Wright, 24, Real Hustle presenter Jessica-Jane Clement, 26, and McFly bassist Dougie Poynter, 23.
