LIKE her namesake Coco Chanel, Coco the Chihuahua is a real poser.
The one-year-old pampered pooch has scooped top prize in The Gazette’s Pet Posers 2012 competition.
From hundreds of cute canines, furry felines and endearing pets, our readers voted Coco top dog.
Our competition was searching for the cutest, fluffiest and most gorgeous pet on the Fylde coast – readers were able to vote for their favourites and once we had our top five, a panel of judges picked the winner.
Coco won the hearts of the panel with her cheeky look.
Her owners, Daniel Thornton and Amy Jowett, of Fleetwood, were presented with their prize of gift vouchers from Pets at Home Blackpool store, by deputy manager Beccy Edwards.
They will also receive a large canvas of their prize pooch.
Amy, 20, said: “We’ve had Coco since she was about eight weeks old, she’s still very much a puppy and does all the things puppies do.
“She is really energetic, always racing round.
“She loves to cuddle up to you though and is really cute.
“When we take her out for walks, we are always getting stopped by people who just love her – she’s always attracting attention, which she enjoys.
“We couldn’t believe it. We really didn’t expect to win!
“We just entered the competition because we thought it would be a bit of fun and because she is so cute.
“It was a really big surprise when we won. She will really be spoiled this Christmas.”
