A DECORATOR involved in telephone sex with a 12-year-old girl also had a stash of child porn on his computer, a court was told.
Christopher Hawkins, 21, of Thompson Street, Wesham, became friends with the girl on a social networking website in April last year and was said by the prosecution to have initially claimed to be a 15 year old boy, Burnley Crown Court heard.
He began contacting her regularly and police were called in. They discovered 10 images of child abuse on his computer, some at almost the worst category given by police.
Hawkins had earlier admitted two counts of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and possessing an indecent photo of a child, at Preston Crown Court.
He was given a three year community order, with three years supervision, and must attend the community sex offenders’ programme. He was ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register for five years by Judge Beverley Lunt, who said she could not lock him up for the offences.
