He had an operation and follow up treatment including gruelling radiotherapy, and the charity has been there every step of the way.

Hide AdFor Corey, the announcement that he wanted to do a charity headshave, came out of the blue for his family.
Mum Janet, who works as a welfare assistant at Corey’s school, Flakefleet Primary in Fleetwood, said: “I told him how badly he needed a hair cut and he just said that he wanted to grow it as long as he could before doing the charity headshave.
“And then he said he wanted to donate his hair to a charity.
“I was gobsmacked, it must have been something he had been thinking about.”

Hide AdJanet, of Duddon Avenue, Fleetwood, did a bit of research and found Macmillan’s Brave the Shave page, so they signed up and a date is set.
She added: “He is hoping to raise £1,000 if possible.
“People have pledged their support when they get paid, I am so proud of him.
“I don’t know how we would have got through without Macmillan.
“They have given us so much advice and help, it’s unbelievable.”
Corey is hoping to donate his hair to a charity which makes wigs for cancer patients. The head shave will take place at Dave Gotto’s, Lord Street.
