Improvements to a Poulton park’s pathway are underway in a bid to protect them against flood damage.
The Pathways, in Tithebarn Park, will have new drainage installed along one section of the path and steps area.
This work, to re-lay and repair the path next to Tithebarn Street, comes after the walkway was repeatedly flooded and made impassable to walkers and cyclists in the park.
The timber fencing running alongside the same section of path is also under repair.
Three new benches will be installed at various points alongside the paths through the park as part of Wyre Council’s £8,000 investment in its ongoing parks maintenance programme.
The park will remain open while the work is being done this week.
The mini-project expected to be completed by the weekend.
