A police raid on a pensioner’s home netted almost 7,000 indecent photographs of children.
Geoffrey Brooksbank also had a collection of 27 pornographic videos involving youngsters, Blackpool Magistrates Court heard.
Brooksbank, 81, of Teenadore Avenue, South Shore, admitted one count of making and four counts of possessing indecent pictures of children over an 11-year period.
He was bailed to appear for sentence at Preston Crown Court on December 16.
Brooksbank must not approach any child under 16 without the consent of an appropriate adult who is aware of his offences and must not access the internet as conditions of his bail.
Martine Connah, prosecuting, said Brooksbank had committed the offences between December 2003 and October 2014.
