One-man crime wave Glenn Stacey has been jailed again.

The prolific offender racked up his 389th offence and magistrates at Blackpool,Lancs sentenced him to 42 days’ jail.

Stacey , 56, of Alexandra Road,Blackpool admitted being in breach of an ASBO.

The three-year ASBO has a no go area in which Stacey may not step and bans him from being drunk in public or carrying open containers of alcohol in public.

Pam Smith, prosecuting, said that Stacey entered Abingdon Street market which breaches the order.

He was asked to leave the market but returned twice later in the day.

Finally Stacey was arrested by police. He told officers he wanted to go into the market to get a new mobile phone. Robert Castle, defending, said that Stacey needed a phone so he could ring the DWP and organise his benefits.

Magistrates told Stacey he was being jailed because of his criminal record and the fact he has committed 102 offences in the past while on bail.
