YOUNGSTERS at a nursery enjoyed Army-themed fun to help support troops this Christmas.
The event took place at Gruntys Day Care Nursery, in Staining, and included activities such as dressing up, face-painting and assault courses.
Parents were asked to donate items so the children were able to make parcels to send to the troops for Christmas and after a fun day, the children took the parcels to the local post office themselves to send out to troops serving abroad.
Amanda Dytor, nursery manager, said: “It was a lovely week, we have staff and parents who have family members and partners in the forces. As we support many good causes throughout each year, we thought it may be nice to do something different.
“Our theme days are always a success, I am very proud and to be part of such a great nursery.”
