Lancashire Women’s Centre’s new Blackpool hub opens its doors tomorrow.
The centre, on Church Street, is a charitable organisation run by women, for women.
It offers a safe, non-judgmental environment for women to drop in for practical and emotional support for complex issues, including self-esteem, family life and relationships and depression from 10am to 3pm.
And it can also offer couples counselling before 10am and after 3pm.
The centre is also a place women can go to attain life skills training to help them into work, as well as somewhere to access housing and financial advice.
Blackpool singer Linda Nolan has agreed to be the centre’s patron. It opens after a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11am.
