STARS of hit TV show Dancing on Ice gave their seal of approval to a new figure skating club on the Fylde coast.

Professional ice skater Dan Whiston and the show’s head coach Karen Barber met local skaters at the launch of the new club at Sub Zero Ice Arena in Cleveleys.

Former rugby star turned ice-skater, Kyran Bracken, who was in Blackpool with his Ice Party show at the Pleasure Beach, was also at the ice rink to see the young skaters show off their talents.

The figure skating club, at the arena on the Promenade, has been formed to give skaters the opportunity to work with coaches and develop their skills.

It will take place every Monday from 6pm until 7.30pm.

Annual membership costs £35 and monthly fees start from £35.
